I have been in IT business since 1982. In all these years I have helped many people including friends understand their computers and repairing their hardwares and softwares.
It all began in 1982 when I started temping at this Financial company in London where they found out quite by accident that I had a flare for computers. They offered me a permanent post and trained me up as a computer programmer. Shortly after I qualified as a computer programmer, I was made redundant but I found myself in another job as a computer operator almost immediately. I was further trained on main and mini framed IBM computer system. I then left this job to work for myself so I started an IT company and I put myself through more training . I started to branch out and got involved with PC network systems. I was doing so well in my business until the recession in 1990 which hit UK badly. Contract work started to dwindle until I decided to call it a day with my business. I got myself job as an IT manager where I stayed for many years.
I decided to start blogging because their are so many home users who haven’t had training on their computers. Some of them are so frighten to use their PCs for anything other then e-mailing and their fear of PC/IT technology has created in their mind a huge misconception of what a computer is all about. So I decided I wanted filled that gab between all type of users so that they/you get comfortable with their/your PC and have better IT knowledge using simple easy to understand language and also try to add a little fun into my blog too.
